It's difficult to imagine that a sitcom about a failed actor and somewhat successful voiceover artist could be funny but what Matt Berry has created in Toast of London (and, the fourth series, Toast of Tinseltown) is an absolute stone-cold classic.
There isn't a dull spot in the cast. Doon Mackichan, who deserves to be immortalised in statute form across the nation, is perfect as his ridiculous agent. Harry Peacock, as the homophobic and, more generally, awful Ray Purchase, Toast's nemesis, is someone you can really get behind disliking. And, let's not forget Shazad Latif, the superbly irritating Clem Fandango, whose primary job, it seems, is to get under Toast's skin.
Others who make it into the four series are a real who's who of comedy - Morgana Robinson, Bob Mortimer, Brian Blessed, Jamie and Natasia Demetriou, Larry David, Steve Pemberton, Paul Whitehouse, Vic Reeves, to name just some of them.
The incredible array of talent smashed into superb scripts make for something that is rightly lauded by many comedians. Sublime.
And, yes. Yes. I can hear you, Clem Fandango.
